A solid 6-inch base will insure that your lawn is level and drains well – you can also lay lawns with a slope to help with drainage – and won’t need maintenance. You may need to pull out the odd weed that blows the dry kiln sand that is the finish on top of the lawn membrane.

Water will pass through the membrane, so you shouldn’t have any drainage issues. Parkstone Wales are also drainage specialists – using Urban Drainage Systems from Marshalls – and can advise on drainage or provide drainage works as part of a wider garden design or landscaping scheme.
